Raw Chocolate Avocado Slice
Editor's note: I have been promising to put up a raw chocolate avocado mousse recipe and have been quite busy in the kitchen! :) So, please accept this raw chocolate avocado slice as a replacement, until I get time to fine tune my mousse recipe and add it here! :) Also, please follow this link for a similar recipe to my mousse http://www.therawtarian.com/raw-chocolate-avocado-pudding-recipe
Crust
200g dessicated coconut
250g dates, pitted
Add above ingredients to a food processor and combine well. Add a few drops of water if needed to combine well. Place mixture into a bowl, and then press into a cake tin or pie dish to use as the crust of slice.
Filling
5 medium avocadoes
50g coconut oil, melted
40g cacao butter, melted
25g cacao powder
25g carob powder
1/2 vanilla pod
200g dates
, pitted
Add all ingredients (except coconut oil and cacao butter) to a food processer and mix together. Finally add the melted cacao butter and coconut oil and combine well. Spoon mixture into your cake tin or pie dish. Decorate as desired(with chopped nuts, or goji berries etc) or leave as is, and place into thefreezer to set for about an hour, until it firms up and you can slice it up.
