Come to the Vegan Festival Sunday November 14, 2010
Come to the place where Raw Life! began its inception - The Adelaide Vegan Festival!
This a whole day event filled with loads of fantastic things to do, see, eat and watch! There'll be LOADS of vegan food stalls, awesome dance and music groups to watch, fun things for the kids to do including facepainting, poster competitions and two awesome kids shows including The Amazing Drumming Monkeys!!
There'll be lots of market stalls to browse and pick up any Christmas gifts or just pick up a new vegan recipe book or soy candles or other such cool goodies! It's a great place to connect with like minded folks whilst listening to some awesome music and performances such as The Wandering Ministrels and the Rosie Burgess Trio.
High profile Australia chef Simon Bryant will also be there showing a demonstration of how to create amazing vegan meals, PLUS the passionate and always informative and warm hearted Remedy Bliss showing you how to make delicious raw vegan food!
And of course you'll be able to sample, try and buy amazing raw foods from our blessed team at Raw Life! Raw treats such as raw chocolate, raw cake, raw balls, as well as some amazing tasting raw savoury foods to keep your hunger at bay!

Really Raw Cashews
Here's a video done by Loving Earth, who supply us with our amazing really raw cashews. We thought we would share this with you as often people ask us where we get our ingredients from. Our really raw cashews, which are certified organic (as are all of our ingredients) come from Flores, Indonesia. As you can see in the video, the process is quite long and labour intensive, which can be reflected in the price we pay for them.

Is Our Cacao Butter and Cacao Powder 100% Raw?
To everyone who has purchased a Raw Life! chocolate bar in the last year, I want to announce that I've recently found out that the cacao butter and cacao powder I use may not be 100% raw.
I was making these chocolate bars, under the belief that they were in fact raw, but due to some videos put out on the Internet by Big Tree Farms in Indonesia I have come to know that the cacao butter and cacao powder I use in my chocolates, during the extraction process, MAY actually reach between 50 - 60 degrees.
I have chosen to continue to make these chocolates, for the moment, still under the banner of "Raw Chocolate" but with an explanation on the back. The chocolate beans have never been roasted and they have never intentionally been heated, it is only in the extraction process, where they may reach a higher temperature for short amounts of time.
A new "Really Raw" cacao butter and cacao powder sample have just arrived, made with a newly made machine that actually ensures the whole process IS kept under 48 degrees and I will be testing these out shortly.
